IMM supports FAO in developing a SIDS and climate change programme

Jock Campbell has been working with FAO to develop a programme outline for devloping systematic and integrated approaches to adaptation to climate change in the agriculture sector of Smaill Island Developing States (SIDS). 

IMM holds SLED workshop in Barbados

 As part of the EU funded FORCE project, IMM recently held a workshop in Barbados on reef-dependent livelihoods in the Cribbean. The workshop was attended by a diversity of people from across the region.

Small-Scale Fisheries Guidance

 IMM Staff, Jock Campbell and Philip Townsley, have been involved in the FAO consultation on the Small-Scale Fisheries Guidance in Rome.

Livelihoods diversification training in Turkey

 IMM has recently carried out training in Sustainable Livelihood Enhancementand Diversification (SLED) in Turkey.  The training was for Fauna and Flora International staff.  SLED is being used as an approch to the diversifcation of livelihoods away from threaten species and ecosystems.

Evidence on Demand is a new information hub for DFID advisers annd other development professionals working in the fields of climate, the environment, infrastructure and livelihoods. The website: www.evidenceondemand.info provides free access to a wealth of high-quality knowledge products and resources through its fully searchable document library. There are also pages detailinghow organisations can commission desk-based expertise through the Evidence on Demand's rapid-response Helpdesk, or longer-term expertise through its Consultancy Services facility.  IMM Ltd is a key partnetr in this initiative.

IMM implements resilience study in Kenya

Jock Campbell was recntly commissioned by DFID to lead a team of consultants reviewing the disaster risk management system in Kenya and identifying constratnts and opportunities for adoptng a more comprehesive approch that strengthens resilence amongst affected communities.

IMM has updated its Service Sheets.

IMM implements livelihoods training for FAO regional programme.

IMM was asked to design and run a training course on sustainable livelihoods approaches for the Regional Fisheries Livelihoods Programme RFLP.
