Having undergone various life experiences, I came to a juncture whereby I realised it was time to fulfil a passion to help those who ere experiencing a crisis/trauma...and also to utilise my industry skills to collaborate and add value to other counsellors. My journey into the counselling arena, has undoubtedly been similar to most; finding my way through all of the twists and turns. Achieving greater self-awareness of a unique self and building competencies; through study and extensive clinical practice.
Supervision takes the shape from a Humanistic Modality underpinned my a Person-Centred approach; integrating a theoretical framework of supervisory principles, concepts and interventions. This is characterised by a fundamental focus of collaboration. Intent in providing ethical guidance which encourages and empowers creative exploration to provide beneficence; safe-guarding both the client and counsellor.
Psychotherapy academic qualifications to-date includes; First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy. A Humanistic Supervision qualification and more recently a City & Guilds Teaching Practice Certificate. A sound basis for further academic continual professional development and growth.
